A featherweight showdown between Steven Siler and Jim Hettes is the newest addition to UFC 159.

UFC officials have not announced the bout but Siler announced via Twitter that he has signed a bout agreement to face Hettes at UFC 159.

UFC 159 takes place April 27 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. The event airs on pay-per-view with the preliminary bouts airing on FX and Facebook. The event features a light heavyweight title bout between current UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and long time middleweight contender Chael Sonnen.

Siler (21-10 MMA, 3-1 UFC) is 3-2 in his past five bouts with victories over Josh Clopton, Cole Miller and Joey Gambino. The Ultimate Fighter 14 semi-finalist began his UFC career with three straight victories before suffering his first defeat with the promotion in his last bout. In that bout Siler was dominated by Darren Elkins for three straight rounds giving Elkins a unanimous decision victory over Siler at UFC 154: St-Pierre vs. Condit.

Hettes (10-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) is 4-1 in his past five bouts with victories over George Sheppard, Jacob Kirwan, Alex Caceres and Nam Phan. The Pennsylvania fighter was without a loss at 10-0 until his last bout. Hettes began his UFC career with two straight victories, first a second round submission over Caceres at UFC Live 5 then a decision victory over Phan at UFC 141: Lesnar vs. Overeem. In the submission specialist last bout he loss to Marcus Brimage via decision at UFC 152: Jones vs. Belfort. The Brimage loss has Hettes refocused on his game and getting back in the win column.

With all the UFC cuts that have been made and with more to come both fighters need a win to stay in the organization.
